Blue Point Toasted Lager
Yum! Had a great toasted taste, one of those few beers that manage to feel good during the colder months without being too hearty/heavy/dark. The toasted flavor might get old after a couple, but the first bottle is mighty good.
I love cheap spanish & italian table wines -- chiantis, tintos, tempranillos, riojas, toscanas, etc. Also fond of new zealand and south african sauvignon blancs, non-desserty german rieslings, pinot noirs the world around, aussie shirazes. Not a big fan of merlot and chardonnay in general, but will always make exceptions for good stuff. Rhones are good but kick my butt. I have a deathwish love for port. I can't tell the difference between prosecco, champagne and cava & I don't really have a problem with adding cola or fruit juice to my wine.
Beer Stuff
I always like low acidity, dark, hoppy, and filling beers. During summer, lighter lagers are good, but I can't stand overcarbonated drinks (*coughHeinekencough*). Give me a budlight and you'll be on my blacklist. I like to like IPAs but they kick my ass. Hefeweizens and Guinness are *always* good. I like Tsingtao quite a bit, even though it's a bit random compared to my other tastes. Porters and stouts make me happy.
